FAQs

How much caffeine does this bar have, and is it safe to have every day?

Each Coffee bar contains 100mg of caffeine, roughly what you'd get in a standard cup of filter coffee. It's a clean, food-form caffeine that works alongside the protein and fibre to give you a more gradual, sustained energy lift rather than a spike and crash. For most healthy adults, 100mg daily is well within safe limits. If you're sensitive to caffeine, we'd suggest having it before noon.

Does this bar actually taste like coffee, or is it more of a hint?

It's a genuine coffee flavour, more like a lightly sweetened cold coffee rather than an espresso shot. The roasted coffee notes come through clearly, complemented by the nuttiness of almonds and peanut butter, and balanced by the natural sweetness of dates and monk fruit. If you enjoy a good café-style cold coffee, this bar will feel familiar and satisfying.

Can I have this bar and my morning coffee on the same day?

You can, but keep your total caffeine intake in mind. This bar has 100mg, so if you're having it alongside a cup of coffee, you're looking at roughly 200mg for the day - still within the generally recommended limit of 300–400mg for healthy adults. Many women enjoy this bar as their morning coffee replacement on busy days when there's no time to brew.

The ingredients list has both Whey Protein Isolate and Fermented Pea Protein. Why two protein sources?

Whey Protein Isolate is fast-absorbing and delivers a rich amino acid profile, while Fermented Pea Protein fills in the gaps and is gentler on digestion. Fermenting the pea protein also reduces the bloating that regular pea protein is known for.

What makes this bar different from other nutrition bars?

Well, it’s much more than just a protein bar. It gives you 25% of your daily requirement of protein, fiber, calcium and vitamin D3. As a woman, it looks after your muscle strength, bone strength, metabolism & hormonal balance.

Is this bar vegetarian?

All flavours are vegetarian, except the Collagen bar which has a marine-sourced high-grade collagen.

When should I eat the bar?

4DU bars are perfect for a 4pm evening snack or a post-workout protein-heavy snack. Carry the minis when you travel. You can also eat a bar if you miss breakfast, although we never recommend this.

How many calories in each bar?

Most of the calories in our bars come from the high almond content – a source of good fats & dense nutrition. Depending on the flavour, the calories range from 217 to 230 per bar.

Can Men eat these?

Technically, yes, and they may find it a more rounded nutrition profile than the other brands they eat right now. But 4DU’s science-backed nutrition profile has been designed keeping women’s bodies, hormonal cycles and unique metabolic needs in mind.
